The machine wobbles and precise work with the attachments is no longer possible? Diagnosis: the excavator has knocked out. Many machines have this problem and the causes are often different. On the one hand, a "knocking out" of the machine over time is absolutely natural, on the other hand, this can unfortunately happen much more quickly due to poor care.
WHAT DOES KNOCK OUT MEAN?
In the construction machinery sector, deflection means the increasing "play" between bolts, bushings and machine. This means that the places where the arm is divided or connected are no longer permanently installed. The use of the machine places high forces and friction on the respective areas. This means that the material wears away over time. In order to prevent this process and to minimize the wear and tear of the material, the machine must be constantly "lubricated". "Greasing" means greasing the pins/bushings, which are greased via the grease nipple. If greasing is neglected and the machine often works on pins/bushings that are too dry, friction and the associated wear will increase.
The result: faster and greater wear. It is therefore quite possible that machines with few operating hours (e.g. less than 2000 hours) are completely worn out and there is a lot of "play" between the bolts, bushings and excavator arm. Conversely, with the right care, a machine can work for a very long time without "knocking". However, the knocking out / play cannot be completely avoided.
